How do we fix health care?
Looking forward to what hopefully is a Romney presidency. Romney says he wants to repeal Obamacare, so what comes next. One thing I never hear discussed that I would like to see happen is cost accountability. Why is it when we purchase anything else we know what it is going to cost before we buy but not health care. I would like a proposal that mandates medical personnel inform you of the cost of any procedure or medication so you can make not only make sound medical decisions but sound financial decisions as well. Too often they are perscribing more expensive medicines when cheaper alternatives are available. Hospitals like to pad the bills by parading through everyone possible for consultations even if consultations aren't necessary. We can't reduce costs if we don't know what things cost.

ReplyDeletenoooooo! i'm still choking on your first sentence. lol i'll have to get past it before i can consider the rest of the post.
Yeah, there are so very many reasons not to hope for a Romney presidency. So very, very, very many.
ReplyDeleteAs to your other points, yes. Agreed.
If not a Romney presidency what, continue down the path of the last four years. Many of us don't really care who else as long as we change our present course.
ReplyDeletewhat's your objection to obama's present course?
DeleteThere are several things unemployment is way too high and President Obama's policies are partially to blame. Obama care has led to massive uncertainty and that combined with excessive spending are major reasons hiring has been so slow. Obama also supported the uprisings in Egypt and Lybia, both are now heading down the same path Iran has been on since 1979. The federal government is actively trying to recruit people to food stamps and other welfare programs. We are still no closer to a sensible emigration policy. We are also again on the brink of fiscal emergency due to administration that doesn't know how to compromise. President Obama also believes it is the job of the government to pick winners and losers. I just don't see this administration being able to be more effective than it has already shown.
